Managed Workplace - Overview
Introduction
glueckkanja-gab (GKGAB) offers its managed service Managed Workplace to deliver standardized operation of its customers' Microsoft 365 environment.\ The following document provides an overview of the modules included in Managed Workplace. In addition, all overarching requirements are defined.
Managed Workplace Modules
Our Managed Workplace consists of the following modules. Some of the modules build on each other, the dependencies are shown in the following graphic and explained afterward.
Identity
The Identity module deals with the management of the identities involved in Microsoft 365. The module covers both the administration of the on-premises Active Directory and the Azure Active Directory. Since identity plays a key role in all Microsoft 365 services, this module forms the basis for the other modules.
Office 365
The Office 365 module includes the most important core components away from identity. The basic services of Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams) form the core of the module. More details on all included components can be found in the service descriptions. The Identity module is required for the use of the Office 365 module.
Client
The Client module is aimed at managing Windows and mobile devices. The focus here is on Microsoft Endpoint Manager (aka Intune). As an extension, the Software module can be added. The Identity module is required for the use of the Client module.
Software
The Software module serves as an extension of the Client module and focuses on the creation and provision of software packages. The Client module is required for the use of the Software module.
Prerequisites
Services
An IT-Service agreement with glueckkanja-gab is required. The glueckkanja-gab Service Level Agreement and Request definitions also apply to this Service Description.

License
Microsoft licenses
Our entire Managed Workplace is built on the perimeters of Microsoft 365. Our configuration recommendations, blueprints, and some operational workflows require the following Microsoft licenses:
- Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5 Security\ or
- Microsoft 365 E5
glueckkanja-gab Products
A core component of our Managed Workplace is the RealmJoin product. This product originates from our company and is required for the delivery of all Managed Workplace modules. RealmJoin provides a central management console for our operation teams and offers various automation.\ In addition, our Packaging as a Service is used as part of the Software Module. Here, our operation team uses our software library and Packaging Factory.
Optional
- Optionally, the customer can add one of the on-call duty packages (defined in more detail in the Service Level Agreement).
Exclusion
End-user
The Managed Workplace excludes interaction with end-users. The Service Delivery Team and our 3rd Level Team interact only with qualified IT personnel and Microsoft solutions.
Backup
As part of the service, backup and recovery issues are excluded from all Microsoft 365 systems. The customer is responsible to use alternative systems if necessary. The use of the systems must be coordinated with the service team. Support in setup or recovery cases can be requested via on-demand services and is dependent on the availability of corresponding consultants.
Compliance
Within the scope of Microsoft 365 operation through the Managed Workplace, the topic of "Compliance" is not taken into account. glueckkanja-gab AG cannot offer any advice regarding "Compliance" requirements. Requests for support and advice on the technical implementation within Microsoft 365 can be placed, these are delivered via the on-demand services, depending on the availability of any consultants.
